Cyber Security Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Architect to join our team at the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO). As a Technical Architect in Cyber Security Assurance, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our ICT solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Security Advice and Guidance: Provide specialist security advice on the design and architecture of new and emerging systems, ensuring alignment with existing implementations and industry standards.
- System Design Governance: Govern system design to ensure conformance with industry and government security frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments against vulnerabilities and threats to determine the security controls to proactively remediate and reduce security risks and concerns.
- Security Requirements Analysis: Conduct security requirements and control analysis of new capabilities to identify gaps and enhancements that can be included to deliver security by design.
- Collaboration and Communication: Closely collaborate with technical specialists across ASIO and domestic and international partners to ensure security requirements are at the forefront.
- Technology Adoption: Drive the adoption of new technologies and different ways of working to ensure security requirements are integrated into all aspects of our operations.
- Representation and Governance: Represent IT Security on relevant governance boards and groups to ensure security is a key consideration in all decision-making.
- Cyber Security Expertise: Proven track record in cyber security engineering to deliver secure, trustworthy, sustainable, and cyber resilient ICT enabled capabilities.
- Security Governance and Risk Management: Knowledge of information security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), security architecture concepts, cloud security, and DevSecOps.
- Cloud Security Experience: Solid understanding of AWS security architecture concepts and experience with cloud services.
- Enterprise System Design and Implementation: Experienced in the design, implementation, and/or maintenance of enterprise systems.
- Security Awareness and Risk Management: Strong security awareness and risk management skills.
- Communication and Collaboration: Strong ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and excellent collaboration skills.
- Relevant Qualifications: Relevant qualifications within cyber security and/or technical specialisations are highly desirable.
- Competitive Salary: A competitive salary, including a 7.5 per cent allowance for maintaining a TOP SECRET-Privileged Access security clearance.
