About the Role

We are seeking an experienced E&M Subcontract Lead to join our team at Webuild S.p.A. for the Snowy 2.0 project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the establishment, placement, and management of E&M subcontract arrangements to deliver the project's cost, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the commercial management of all E&M subcontracts, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Lead subcontract progress payment claims, variations, contractual claims, and final accounts in accordance with subcontract terms.
  • Manage contract administration and change management, providing assistance to the Head Contract management team as required.
  • Proactively manage the performance of E&M suppliers, maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Identify and manage supplier risks and opportunities, including those of the supplier's supply chains.
  • Lead, manage, and develop team members to deliver the required capability.
  • Generate and manage lifecycle management procurement and subcontract management plans.
  • Analyze financial and costs reports, identifying existing or potential variances/trends, and provide recommendations as appropriate.
  • Ensure accurate and complete records and document control registers are kept updated.
  • Implement dispute resolution principles and mechanisms under relevant E&M subcontracts.
  • Provide E&M subcontract reports and briefings to the executive team.
Requirements
  • Recognized tertiary qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • White Card.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role on a project of similar size and complexity.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, AutoCAD, and Aconex or similar electronic transmission systems.
  • Experience in the management of and flow down of tendering and Contracting Templates, especially FIDIC.
  • Experience in the management of subcontractors, ideally international E&M subcontractors/suppliers and design consultants.
  • Ability to coordinate with delivery and design teams.
  • Ability to guide and manage a team of subcontract administrators.
  • Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders in a way that generates business benefit while maintaining key relationships.
  • Ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of different audiences.
  • Excellent risk analysis skills.
