Role Overview

Governance Officers and Policy Officers form a vital part of our organization, supporting internal decision-making processes and procedures. They are responsible for preparing high-level written material, producing meeting packs, and providing secretariat support to boards and committees.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Preparing written materials such as ministerial briefs, reports, and minutes;

- Producing and distributing meeting packs and other documents;

- Providing secretariat support to boards, committees, and working groups;

- Coordinating budget and financial management processes;

- Displaying excellent organizational and time management skills;

- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with executive officers and stakeholders.

**Policy Advice**

Policy Officers provide timely, accurate, and persuasive policy advice to support strategic decision making. They contribute to the identification of current and emerging policy issues, review existing policies, and engage with areas of common interest across the organization and government.

**Leadership and Team Management**

Governance Officers and Policy Officers at the EL1 level must have a demonstrated ability to lead a team. This includes being accountable for staff, managing allocated resources, delivering on outcomes, setting work area priorities, and evaluating business outcomes.
