Preventing Domestic and Family Violence

We are seeking a skilled practitioner to join our team in promoting behaviour change and preventing domestic and family violence in our communities.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with us to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families affected by DFV.

  • Develop and deliver group programs for men who use violence, focusing on their safety and wellbeing, as well as that of their partners, families, and the wider community.
  • Provide individual counselling to support accountability and long-term behaviour change.
  • Contribute to community education initiatives raising awareness of DFV and promoting prevention strategies.
About This Role:
  • Be a compassionate and skilled practitioner passionate about creating safer futures for individuals, families, and communities impacted by domestic and family violence.
  • Have experience in group facilitation and individual counselling, including working respectfully and collaboratively with men who use violence to foster genuine behaviour change.
  • Thrive in building trust, working in partnership with community agencies, and delivering prevention programs that drive awareness and early intervention.

Key Requirements:
  • Undergraduate qualifications in the social or behavioural sciences.
  • Experience working with clients in a group facilitation model and in individual counselling.
  • Demonstrated experience working with local networks and agencies using principles of community development.
