Volunteer Board Opportunity

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our volunteer Board as a Board Member.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference in their community and contribute to the delivery of free legal and social justice services.

About Us

Our organization was established in 1991 and has been providing services to people in need ever since. We are one of over 200 community legal centres nationwide, and we extend our services across a range of areas including guardianship, domestic violence, peace and good behaviour matters, consumer law, credit, debt, motor vehicle property damage, discrimination and human rights, family law, child protection, elder law, criminal and traffic matters.

We serve a diverse range of clients, including people with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, those experiencing domestic or family violence, financial difficulties and homelessness.

The Role

We are looking for applicants with skills in Legal Knowledge and HR Knowledge. Successful candidates will be able to commit to preparing for and attending regular Board meetings, participating in other activities such as Board training, and attending Annual General Meetings.

Candidates must also be willing to complete a National Police Check before appointment.
