About the Role

The Development Appraisal Planner position at the Council Centre is a key role in the Strategic and Regulatory Services team.

This position plays a crucial role in proactively engaging with applicants and assessing planning applications against the requirements of the planning scheme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Key Duties:
  • Assessing planning applications submitted under the Council's prevailing planning schemes
  • Providing information and advice to the public and applicants on planning schemes and land use
  • Representing the Council at appeals in the Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Appeals Tribunal

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree (or higher qualification) and relevant experience to satisfy the eligibility requirements to be a Full Member of the Planning Institute of Australia
  • Current Drivers Licence
