Job Description

A high-profile opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Cloud Enterprise Architect to lead a groundbreaking initiative in Canberra. This pivotal role will spearhead the transformation of Australian federal government agencies towards cloud-based ERP solutions, driving strategic partnerships and expert delivery.

The Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Federal Australian Agencies will serve as a catalyst for major agencies, providing comprehensive guidance on ERP migration strategy, scalable impact, and lasting results. The initial assignment is an 18-month transformation program, after which the successful candidate will transition into the broader Customer Success and Delivery area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define account strategies in collaboration with SAP's Sales organization and the Partner ecosystem.
  • Bridge customer business strategy and SAP solutions by crafting to-be business and solution architectures and designing an enterprise transformation roadmap to enable cloud adoption.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to help customers achieve their desired SAP-based Enterprise Architecture outcomes.
  • Support assessment of current customer solutions and identify opportunities for faster adoption and expansion of SAP footprints.
  • Engage with customers to support sales cycles as part of the SAP account team.
  • Drive business and IT architecture definitions ensuring alignment with SAP, customers, and partners.
  • Develop roadmaps to help customers transition to SAP cloud solutions; provide architecture deliverables (business & solution architecture, target state, transformation roadmap).
  • Support creating demand through thought leadership and innovation positioning; understand customer business processes and future needs; promote standard cloud architectures.
  • Guide governance, transformation roadmaps, and the expansion of SAP portfolio value with the customer.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this esteemed role, you will require:

Considerable Experience:

  • Software/IT as an IT Architecture or Enterprise Architecture Advisor, with expertise in Solution Management, Sales, Presales, Adoption/Consumption, Consulting, or Business Development and a track record of successful outcomes.

Deep Knowledge:

  • Cloud, Hosted Services, SaaS/PaaS models and cloud-based commerce/business networks.

Proven Leadership and Project Management Experience:

  • Ability to drive tangible outcomes in Enterprise Architecture for customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in the Public Sector.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Togaf or SAPIEA-10 certifications and experience using EAM tools are an added value.
