**Job Summary**

The newly created role in our application support team will be responsible for ensuring application changes meet both business specification and customer journey requirements. This includes working closely with Subject Matter Experts to understand business expectations and constraints, providing regular updates on progress of testing in an Agile environment, and defining the risk-based and requirements-based testing scope to ensure the solution is fit for purpose.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Participate proactively in all sprint ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, story grooming, team retrospectives, showcases, workshops, and planning sessions.
  • Suggest and implement product and process improvements.
  • Work with Product Owners to define Acceptance Criteria and the Definition of Done and ensure that they are met in the testing space.
  • Work with End-to-End Team in elaborating stories and providing estimates.
  • Create and execute test cases, raising defects in the approved manner.
  • Peer review test cases of other testers.
  • Provide mentoring and support to less experienced testers.
  • Keep Test Lead apprised of progress, risks, and issues in sprint work and project planning and document accordingly.
  • Participate in pre-deployment testing and rostered overnight deployments as necessary.

**Requirements**

  • Experience in testing in an Agile environment, including System, Integration, Acceptance, and Usability testing.
  • Experience in preparing test artefacts, including test plans, test designs, test cases, test executions, and defects.
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a structured manner in line with documented procedures.
  • Proven ability to work in a small team with a shared goal, being able to use time management skills to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to take ownership of issues arising.
  • Experience of using Jira/Confluence.
  • Working knowledge of common application software, e.g., MS Office suite/Google Suite.
  • High level of IT literacy and demonstrated ability to learn new systems.
  • Understanding of the types and value of automation in a blended environment.
