
Strategic Compliance Lead

About the role:
- This position is responsible for collaborating with management and staff to establish a contemporary compliance program, ensuring effective oversight and providing objective advice on regulatory compliance matters.
About you:
- Proven knowledge and experience in developing and implementing good governance practices and processes within a large public sector organisation, particularly in relation to compliance management.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to consider relevant evidence and coordinate appropriate compliance responses and implementation plans.
- Strong leadership abilities to initiate and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Success in planning, implementing, reviewing, and managing changes of varying complexity and scope within a complex organisation.
- Excellent negotiation, consultation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex issues and represent the service at meetings and forums.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships and engage productively with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccination against certain vaccine-preventable diseases as per Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
- COVID-19 vaccination as outlined in Health Employment Directive NO.12/21 and Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
