About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Centre Manager to lead the Energy Transition Centre at Queensland University of Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of the Centre's core operational activities, working closely with the Co-Directors and other senior leaders to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the Centre's vision and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the operation of the Centre, including delivery of administrative services, project delivery support, and all operational matters.
  • Have operational responsibility for the Centre's budget, including operating and discretionary budgets.
  • Collaborate with share services staff across the Faculty and University to execute the effective operations of the centre.
  • Provide positive leadership to staff and connect and collaborate with varied groups across the organisation.
  • Display initiative, critically evaluate systems and processes, and contribute new ideas to achieve ongoing improvements at a strategic and operational level.
Requirements
  • Education, training, and/or experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a team environment and provide positive leadership to staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to display initiative and critically evaluate systems and processes.
  • High level written communication skills to prepare clear and concise reports, plans, and complex correspondence using a variety of digital technologies.
  • Demonstrated financial management and budgeting experience and well-developed analytical and research skills.
