About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our School of Arts and Humanities team at Edith Cowan University. As a key member of our School Administration Team, you will be responsible for overseeing our school business support processes and providing leadership to our work integrated learning support team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight to our school business support processes, including employment contacts, recruitment, onboarding, travel, payments, and purchasing.
  • Manage and mentor a small team, fostering a collaborative environment that supports students, academic staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Review and improve business processes, think creatively about solutions, and implement them across the team environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including academic and professional colleagues, students, and industry partners.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures, and maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in team leadership and management, with a focus on business operations and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult, negotiate, and network effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Experience working with the SONIA student placement management system is highly regarded.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
