Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert technical assistance and support to employees across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective technical support via phone, email or in-person
  • Maintain and monitor business applications and infrastructure to ensure seamless operation
  • Evaluate and escalate complex technical issues as needed, collaborating with internal teams to resolve problems
  • Develop and conduct comprehensive user training sessions to ensure employees are proficient in using IT systems
  • Configure, deploy and maintain a range of equipment, participating in IT projects to enhance system performance
  • Perform remote and onsite work installing and maintaining IT systems
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A diploma or higher in Information Technology or a related field
  • Proven experience working in a Service Desk environment or IT field services
  • An in-depth understanding of PCs, operating systems, Office 365, networking, and proficiency in Jira is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple IT requests simultaneously
  • Demonstrated expertise in VMWare, Dell server hardware, Windows Server & Active Directory administration is an advantage
