Senior Structural Transmission Line Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Transmission Line Engineer to design and develop structural transmission lines and substations using computer-aided design software.

This role will provide the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including wind, solar, and hydroelectric power generation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design structural transmission lines and substations using computer-aided design software such as PLS Tower and PLS Pole.
  • Develop conductor loads for transmission and substation structures.
  • Analyze lattice towers, pole and gantry structures, as well as lattice tower member connection detailing and design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative engineering solutions.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • At least 10 years' experience in structural design work, with a particular emphasis on transmission line and substation structural design work.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards AS/NZS 7000, AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 3995 and AS 1170.
