About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at CaSE International. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of our civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the effective coordination and control of engineering works for designated projects.
  • Assist in ensuring the safe and successful completion of projects on schedule, within budget, and to the specified quality.
  • Monitor and control subcontractor performance and ensure the quality and standard of workmanship is performed in accordance with specifications.
  • Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and courses of action.
  • Adhere to safety plans and communicate them to project team members, including suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Assist with the resolution of safety issues as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Participate in the preparation of safe work method statements in consultation with the work group carrying the proposed activity.
  • Ensure the engagement of subcontractors complies with the CaSE International safety management system and procedures.
  • Lead construction method statements approvals.
  • Lead by example by meeting safety KPIs while ensuring project team members and subcontractor supervisors are also meeting their safety KPIs.
  • Monitor the implementation of construction methods, including audits.
  • Help the Project Manager with the operational aspects of project delivery to ensure the effective and efficient use of systems and processes involved with all phases of the project management model.
  • Ensure site-specific management plans are implemented.
  • Maintain and monitor the progress of work and advise the Project Engineer of significant changes and proposed remedial action.
  • Ensure the construction-related aspects of the project meet or exceed the required performance targets in relation to time, cost, and quality.
  • Ensure that programs are communicated to subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff to maintain commitment.
  • Prepare, maintain, and achieve detailed short-term target programs for designated work areas.
  • Review subcontractor construction programs and assist in identifying critical areas and integrating these into the Project program.
  • Review and procure appropriate resources to fulfill program requirements (plant, labor, materials, and subcontractor requirements).
  • Makes decisions and actions all correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Prepare authority submissions and approval programs to fit within the project program.
  • Consult regularly with site team leads and monitor site team effectiveness/satisfaction.
  • Maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to construction activities.
  • Participate in Client/contractor meetings and resolving Client/engineering and project management issues.
  • Interact with both on-site personnel and other parties to create a positive work environment.
  • Ensure regular two-way communication with the Project Engineer on all matters.
  • Conduct regular site meetings to foster understanding, participation, and enthusiasm.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, support, counsel, through informal discussion, regular review, and formal performance appraisal and encourage feedback from staff.
  • Establish and maintain a harmonious Client/Customer relationship to assist project delivery and enhance Client satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with Project Managers to drive program and results.
  • Ensure work compliance with site community relations and commitments.
  • Facilitate daily work plan meetings, ensure required actions are implemented.
