Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor to join our team at a prestigious 5-star hotel in Melbourne.

About the Role:

This is a senior supervisory position that requires a strong leader to manage a large kitchen stewarding team, ensuring high service delivery expectations within the F&B department are met.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise kitchen stewards and oversee daily operations of the stewarding department
  • Rostering, delegation of tasks and administrative duties as required
  • Train team members to maintain professional manner and stay up-to-date with hotel events and requirements
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment for all hotel outlet kitchens, ensuring all kitchen stewards follow the same standards
  • Collaborate with the stewarding team to ensure food hygiene and Workplace Health and Safety requirements are met
  • Ensure proper maintenance of operating equipment and dishwashing machinery
  • Maintain, clean and tidy kitchen storerooms at all times
  • Work safely with chemicals to assist with cleaning

Skill Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior supervisory role within a 4-5 star hotel or similar F&B environment
  • 4-5 star hotel experience in a high-volume operation
  • Proven ability to meet quality, safety and high service standards
  • Able to work across a rotating roster
  • Strong understanding of Food Safety, HACCP and Workplace Health and Safety requirements
  • High motivation with excellent work ethic
