Senior Clinician - Occupational Therapist Role Overview

The Senior Occupational Therapist will provide leadership and guidance to the occupational therapy team, deliver high-level interventions for clients, and participate in guiding the organisation in delivering occupational and diversional interventions within an integrated care model between inpatient and community services.

Job Description

This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic recovery-focused team as a senior clinician.

The Senior Occupational Therapist will:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the occupational therapy team
  • Deliver high-level interventions for clients
  • Participate in and guide the organisation in delivering occupational and diversional interventions
  • Support an integrated care model between inpatient and community services
Required Skills and Qualifications

Must hold general registration with and qualifications recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or be eligible to register at commencement.

Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in Mental Health Occupational Therapy.

Current New South Wales driver's licence.

Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and apply advanced reasoning skills.

Excellent negotiation, decision-making and advocacy skills, with ability to interact constructively with stakeholders.

Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives.
