Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive Safety Advisor to join our team on a new build construction project. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the highest safety standards are maintained on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inductions and ensure all personnel are aware of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Review and monitor contractors' Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Oversee general site safety, including the implementation of control measures to mitigate risks and hazards.
  • Lead site safety meetings to discuss safety concerns, incidents, and near-misses.
  • Analyze site practices and implement improved safety protocols to reduce workplace risks.
  • Report and investigate incidents, injuries, and hazards, and implement agreed control measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Help promote Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) awareness on site and ensure compliance with all Site Management Plans.
  • Maintain all WHS records for the project, including incident reports and safety audits.
  • Work with contractors and site teams to eliminate and reduce workplace risks, and ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) is essential.
  • Sound understanding of WHS Legislation and Regulations.
  • Previous experience in a Safety Advisor role on construction projects is highly desirable.
