About the Role

As the Overnight Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional night-hour services and timely responses to guest requests. This role has a Front Office focus, but also involves overall hotel operations in the absence of Functional Managers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and taking full responsibility for the hotel during the overnight hours
  • Handling guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly
  • Completing Night Audit duties
  • Ensuring all team members are prepared and well-informed to deliver guests an exceptional experience from check-in through check-out
  • Maximizing sales revenues through up-selling and marketing programs within the department
  • Understanding and demonstrating correct procedures regarding credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy
  • Handling any management issues or emergencies that arise, recording and resolving as necessary
  • Monitoring guest satisfaction reports and implementing actions to improve results

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a leadership Front Office role in a similar sized hotel
  • Fluent in the English language to communicate professionally with guests and team members, both in person and over the telephone
  • Excellent leadership, inter-personal, and training and development skills
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict, and work efficiently under pressure
  • Well-presented, organized, and having a calm personality
