Underground Mine Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Underground Mine Surveyor to join our team at South Kalgoorlie Operations in Kalgoorlie, the Heart of the Goldfields.

This is a 12-hour rostered position, working on a residential basis, reporting to the Underground Manager and facilitating the survey requirements of the mining team.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Setting out and marking up production drill plans ahead of the drill schedule.
  • Carrying out end of month processes for development and stope reconciliation.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Mining Engineer and the Mine Foreman to ensure survey priorities align with operational needs.
  • Performing regular cavity monitoring scans (CMS) on open stopes and historical areas that require regular scanning.
  • Diamond drilling set outs and collar pickups in line with geological requirements for grade control and reserve definition drilling programs.
  • Training and mentoring Surveying Graduates and vacation students in correct methods and standards for Underground Surveying.

Requirements:

  • Experience in underground mining.
  • Ability to obtain Mine Surveyors' Certificate Grade One (1).
  • Experience with Surpac and Deswik Software.
  • Experience with Leica Instruments.
  • Residency in the Goldfields region or willingness to relocate for this residential operation.
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian 'C' Class Drivers Licence.
