Senior Transmission Development Lead

The Senior Transmission Development Lead will contribute to the development and implementation of planning criteria for the Victorian transmission system and renewable energy zones.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical input and advise on the development of the Victorian Transmission Plan and Renewable Energy Zones.
- Lead discussions with consultants, AEMO, NSPs, and in-house teams on renewable energy zone (REZ) development and transmission infrastructure.
- Develop REZ and transmission capacity outlook, including methodology assessment over a long-term planning horizon.
- Analyse potential issues and identify solutions to ensure reliable and efficient power delivery.
- Build and manage relationships with stakeholders, including departmental executives, Ministers, and associated departments.
- Experience in developing and delivering major power systems infrastructure augmentations and working on renewable energy projects.
- Prior government policy implementation experience and knowledge/experience of the energy sector.
- Strong leadership, technical engineering, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Sound understanding of governance processes in Government is desirable.
