About the Position

A level B lecturer with a teaching-focused appointment is expected to develop curriculum, coordinate subjects, deliver teaching, assess student learning, provide academic support, and manage administrative responsibilities effectively.


Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement curriculum for postgraduate psychology programs by creating engaging lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Teaching Excellence: Coordinate and deliver teaching in face-to-face, blended, and online modes, ensuring students receive high-quality instruction and support throughout their academic journey.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback that fosters growth and improvement, helping students meet their full potential.
  • Scholarly Activity: Engage in scholarly activity relevant to the advancement of learning and teaching in psychology, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Student Supervision: Supervise students undertaking professional training and research, guiding them through the process and providing valuable insights and expertise.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • A PhD or Masters degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline area.
  • Full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Approved or eligibility for approval as a supervising psychologist at the higher degree program level by the Psychology Board of Australia (Psy BA).
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with and produce outputs related to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning or program improvement.
