Senior Clinical Mental Health Specialist

The Aged Psychiatry Assessment and Treatment Team (APATT) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Mental Health Specialist to join their community-based team. As a key member of the team, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment to older adults in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment of older adults
  • Visiting clients at home, providing intake and triage, crisis support, assessment, and case management
  • Reviewing risk and providing support to reduce the impact of illness and enhance independence
  • Providing discipline-specific support and advice to the team

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • 5 years post-qualification clinical experience within Mental Health, care of older adults with clinical services experience including case management and care coordination
  • Demonstrated passion for achieving the best clinical practice
  • Relevant knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 and other relevant legislation
