Responsibilities
  • Perform technical studies, analyses, and consultations on facility infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
  • Develop detailed requirements for facility modifications, replacements, upgrades, and recapitalizations.
  • Design and develop solutions for technical problems across the mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Review and provide technical advice on proposed changes to facility infrastructure and systems.
  • Perform engineering calculations to support facility operation and design.
  • Provide recommendations on facilities system, infrastructure, and equipment reliability, operation, maintenance, life-cycle management, and costing.
  • Evaluate operational systems, equipment, processes, and infrastructure to optimize performance.

Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Australian citizenship.

Certifications and Licenses
  • Driver's license.

Experience and Skills
  • Familiarity with HVAC, hydronic systems, data centre cooling systems, building management, and control systems.
  • Minimum one year of experience in building management and control systems and facilities operation and maintenance required.

Work Environment and Demands

Typical office environment with occasional lifting, standing, walking, and routine sitting.


Security Clearance Requirement

A Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Department of Defence Security Clearance (Australian) is required.
