We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator to join our team at Peninsula Health. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and clinical leadership teams, with a focus on advancing clinical practice and developing staff along the novice to expert continuum.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. You will be responsible for delivering and facilitating education in compliance with evidence-based practice and hospital policy and guidelines. This includes participating in the planning, development, coordination, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of education services for Peninsula Health.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver education programs for enrolled nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Collaborate with clinical teams to identify education needs and develop solutions
- Conduct needs assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of education programs
- Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in mental health nursing
- Qualified nurse with a strong background in mental health nursing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mental health nursing
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to attain
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
