Management Accountant Job Description

The management accountant plays a pivotal role in driving financial success across the Australasian region.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing comprehensive financial plans, forecasts, and budgets for both markets.
  • Monitoring and reporting variances between actual and projected figures, with actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Analysing business performance, including sales growth, marketing return on investment (ROI), and operational efficiency.
  • Conducting profitability analysis by product line, customer segment, and geographical region.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and strategic initiatives to enhance profitability.
  • Evaluating the financial viability and ROI of new projects, product launches, and market expansions.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards across both markets.
  • Implementing enhancements to financial systems and processes.

To succeed in this position, you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Strong financial modelling and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel user.
  • SAP experience.
