About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Solicitor to join our Corporate Solicitors Office in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will provide legal support to the Health Division and other parts of Wesfarmers' retail operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide sound and commercially astute legal advice to business stakeholders
  • Draft and negotiate commercial legal documentation
  • Advise on regulatory matters related to the pharmaceutical and health industries and retail businesses
  • Engage and manage external legal advisers
  • Educate team members on legal developments
Requirements
  • At least 8 years post-admission experience with commercial and corporate legal experience
  • Proven experience in working with businesses to arrive at commercial outcomes
  • Demonstrated capability in advising on commercial contracts, privacy and health legal issues, and competition and consumer law
  • Ability to prioritise in a busy environment and adopt a pragmatic approach to ensure a quick turnaround when providing advice
  • Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication capabilities
