Job Description

As an Airside Safety Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and compliance of the airport for aircraft operations. This involves conducting daily serviceability inspections to the highest standards, engaging with our stakeholders, and adhering to the guidelines outlined in Melbourne Airport manual and procedures.

You will also participate in all training requirements for the role and ensure ongoing competency is met. Additionally, you will educate internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the airfield is operating safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will have experience in working collaboratively in an airside environment, a basic understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS), and a passion for customer service and sound communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting daily serviceability inspections to the highest standards.
  • Engaging with our stakeholders and adhering to the guidelines outlined in Melbourne Airport manual and procedures.
  • Participating in all training requirements for the role and ensuring ongoing competency is met.
  • Educating internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the airfield is operating safely and efficiently.
