About the Opportunity

We are seeking enthusiastic and proactive individuals to commence a career in Electrical trades with Port Macquarie Hastings Council.

This is a full-time role for up to 4 years working primarily in the Water, Wastewater and Construction areas of Council, working with diversely skilled Electrical Tradespeople and other trained professions to install, maintain and repair all facets of Electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on Electrical Infrastructure Construction Projects
  • Install and maintain Three Phase Motors and Control Switchboard Installations
  • Contribute to Industrial wiring systems for Water and Sewer Processing Plants
  • Maintain High Voltage Water Supply Pumping Stations
  • Install electrical equipment to a high standard and quality
What We're Looking For
  • Individuals who are willing to work and learn on the job
  • Great team members with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Focused on working safely, both for yourself and others
  • Able to commit to study requirements and completion of all training in a timely and organised manner
  • Hold a current Drivers License (Red P's or more)
  • Able to comply with uniform and PPE requirements

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment type: Full-time role (38 hours per week with 9-day fortnight)

Weekly starting salary $651 to $808 (depending on your highest year of schooling completed and number years since you finished school)

Allowances: Adverse working conditions 1 / Sewer Choke Allowance / Tool Allowance
