About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our Perioperative Services team at Healthscope Hospitals. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of nurses and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in our state-of-the-art Operating Suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses to deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and reduce waiting times
  • Collaborate with doctors and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
  • Develop and maintain a positive and professional work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and respect
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse AHPRA registration
  • 5 years' extensive and current clinical practice in a PACU role
  • Relevant Post Graduate tertiary qualifications, or willingness to work towards
  • Demonstrate ability to organise their work in a systematic, accurate and timely manner, displaying flexibility in a changing environment
  • Knowledge of quality processes, clinical indicators, and audits
  • Previous management/coordinator experience in an acute hospital setting
