Empowering Lives as a Developmental Educator in Western Sydney

Job SummaryAs a Developmental Educator, you'll work in an interdisciplinary team to become a highly effective social model therapist. You'll provide person-centered support and planning for people with disabilities, their families, and support teams.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial assessments using evidence-based tools like LEAD
- Liaise with the team to wrap the right supports around participants and their families
- Support individuals in their everyday environments, home, work, school, or community
- Capacity build support teams to create capable environments
- Participate in peer group supervision, mentoring, and professional learning to grow expertise and skills
- Bachelor or Masters in Disability (or equivalent) and eligibility to be a DEAI member
- Suitability assessment and Behaviour Support Practitioner status by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
- Passion for removing barriers using the social model of therapy
- Empathy, understanding, and being open and non-judgmental
- Driven to see high-impact outcomes in people's lives
- Ability to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children's Check
- Hold a valid driver's license
