Job Summary

As a Developmental Educator, you'll work in an interdisciplinary team to become a highly effective social model therapist. You'll provide person-centered support and planning for people with disabilities, their families, and support teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments using evidence-based tools like LEAD
  • Liaise with the team to wrap the right supports around participants and their families
  • Support individuals in their everyday environments, home, work, school, or community
  • Capacity build support teams to create capable environments
  • Participate in peer group supervision, mentoring, and professional learning to grow expertise and skills
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Masters in Disability (or equivalent) and eligibility to be a DEAI member
  • Suitability assessment and Behaviour Support Practitioner status by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
  • Passion for removing barriers using the social model of therapy
  • Empathy, understanding, and being open and non-judgmental
  • Driven to see high-impact outcomes in people's lives
  • Ability to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children's Check
  • Hold a valid driver's license
