Trades Assistant Job

We are seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to join our team. This role offers a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities that will keep you engaged, challenged, and energized at every turn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading/unloading trucks
  • Conducting pre-start checks
  • Weekly maintenance of used equipment
  • Pressure washing and detailing machines
  • General cleaning duties
  • Providing support to service and parts personnel

Requirements:

  • Driver's License: Must have a driver's license and be able to obtain relevant high-risk licenses (e.g., forklift, rigging, EWP)
  • Equipment Handling: Capable of safely handling equipment and communicating effectively with internal departments and customers
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to follow risk assessment and hazard identification processes

Preferred Experiences:

  • Rental/Hire Yard: Experience in rental or hire yards, with a preference for those from the heavy vehicle/mobile plant rental
  • Forklift & Mobile Plant: Experience in roles where there is substantial evidence of hours spent operating forklifts and mobile plant
