About the OpportunityWe are seeking compassionate individuals who share our values and passion to deliver exceptional support and connection to residents.
As a Volunteer Visitor, you will be matched with a resident according to their interests and cultural backgrounds. You will receive comprehensive training before commencing and ongoing guidance from our Coordinator.
Your Key Responsibilities- Establish enriching connections with individual residents through regular visits.
- Initiate engaging activities such as music sessions, games, or casual conversations over a cup of coffee.
- Demonstrated empathy towards older people.
- Experience working collaboratively within a team environment is highly valued.
- Up-to-date Flu and Covid vaccinations.
You will also have the opportunity to develop valuable skills and gain experience in working with older people, within a residential setting.
Protecting children and young people is a top priority. We require the successful completion of a Working with Children Check for all child-related roles, and certain volunteer positions may necessitate a National Police Check.
