Specialised Clinical Pharmacy Services

We are seeking a highly skilled pharmacist to join our team at Westmead Hospital. As a specialised clinical pharmacist, you will play a vital role in delivering expert care to our Neonatal Intensive and Special Care Units.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective medication use for our most vulnerable patients. This will involve leading safe, ethical, and cost-effective medication practices, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on patient-centred care, and contributing to antimicrobial stewardship and clinical governance.

About the Role
  • Deliver expert clinical pharmacy care in neonatal and critical care
  • Lead safe, ethical, and cost-effective medication use practices
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on patient-centred care
  • Contribute to antimicrobial stewardship and clinical governance
Essential Criteria
  • Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy
  • Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA
Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical pharmacy practice in neonatal services
  • Demonstrated excellent therapeutic knowledge and ability to exercise a high level of initiative in the application of pharmaceutical principles to clinical practice
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change
