Job Opportunity: Associate Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Associate Electrical Engineer to join our water team.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work on iconic industry projects with experienced colleagues and leadership teams. As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you will deliver major capital projects and facility upgrades predominantly on Queensland projects, with support to the wider ANZ business.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and proactively collaborate with Water Infrastructure team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and coordination of project deliverables.
  • Detailed design of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems with a focus on LV electrical systems including schematics, equipment layout, motor control centers, and communications systems, SCADA, instrumentation, and PLCs.
  • Provide technical reports and specifications for projects (design reports, functional descriptions, technical specifications).
  • Apply project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplish project deliverables to the required standard in a timely manner.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and RPEQ (or ability to obtain).
  • Relevant 10+ years' experience in Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation Engineering, ideally in the water sector or industrial plant.
  • CHAZOP experience highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with standards, conceptual, and detailed design, and design management of electrical infrastructure.
  • Design experience with knowledge of industry standards.
  • Strong skills in instrumentation, controls, SCADA, and LV design.
  • Applied knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 3008.1.1.
  • Experience with design software such as PowerCAD is preferred.
  • Well-developed communication skills with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
