Electrical Engineer Career Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join our team.

This role offers the chance to make a real impact in the transition to renewable energy systems and decarbonisation. Our ideal candidate will be committed to delivering innovative, safe, and industry-leading projects.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will work with a passionate team of engineers and designers to produce engineering deliverables that meet Verbrec and clients' standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver electrical and instrumentation engineering solutions that meet client expectations.
  2. Design LV and HV distribution systems, including motor control centres and switchboards.
  3. Contribute to PTW and eTap processes as required.
  4. Design PLC and Remote IO control systems.
  5. Develop material handling and process plant instrumentation designs.
  6. Create layout designs, including cable routing, equipment layouts, and substation layouts.
  7. Work on HV and LV power system modelling and protection design.
  8. Support experience in mining, oil and gas, water, and infrastructure sectors.
  9. Generate study reports, scopes of work, equipment specifications, and datasheets.
  10. Produce engineering estimates and quotations.
  11. Maintain a strong focus on safety in design.
  12. Work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.
  13. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to Verbrec and client standards.
  14. Collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent experience/qualifications in Electrical, Instrument and Control, or Mechatronics.
  • Relevant (8+ years) and current Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering experience.

Working Conditions:

The role will be predominantly office-based, but the applicant should be willing to occasionally work onsite.
