We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the development and management of digital engineering outputs across various disciplines. This role involves leading a national team of experts and technicians in producing high-quality design documentation, managing processes for model management and compliance with industry standards, and driving innovation in digital engineering.The successful candidate will have a strong background in digital engineering, BIM, and CAD operations management, with experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams for high-quality design drawing, model, and deliverable outputs. They will also have expertise in key production, storage, and productivity tools like ACC, Projectwise, Revit, Civil 3D AutoCAD, Microstation, and Revizto.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a National Team of Digital Engineering experts and technicians for quality project design outputs.
  • Develop and manage processes for design documentation and drawings using industry-standard tools.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of industry standards, operator, and agency drafting requirements.
  • Experience in producing digital engineering outputs for Civil, Structural, Architecture, MEP, and other relevant disciplines.
  • Guide and mentor the Digital engineering team and manage career development.
  • Manage design documentation and model review processes, including Revizto usage.
  • Administer model storage and hosting environments like ACC and other recognized tools.
  • Review, develop, and drive digital engineering processes for efficient design output development and management.
  • Communicate and collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines.
  • Manage a National Digital Engineering team for day-to-day production of DE outputs.
  • Manage subcontractors, ensuring quality assurance, client feedback, and effective communication of changes/modifications.
  • Consider constructability in all design outcomes and consult with relevant team members to ensure designs are constructible.
  • Promote digital engineering principles and follow project workflows/procedures for front-end design, detailing, and submission.
  • Leverage existing client relationships for work opportunities and business development.
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or associated industry-recognized training in MEP, Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • ISO 19650 Accreditation Required.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in Digital Engineering, BIM, and CAD operations management.
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams for high-quality design drawing, model, and deliverable outputs.
  • Demonstrated experience in key production, storage, and productivity tools like ACC, Projectwise, Revit, Civil 3D AutoCAD, Microstation, and Revizto.
  • Linear modeling experience in MEP Services, Civil, and Structures using automation tools like Dynamo and Python.
  • Automation of metadata information into models using Dynamo.
  • Mentoring experience in digital engineering technical resources.
  • Integrated program schedule management, Earned Value determination, design budget management, forecasting resources and costs.
  • Setting up and managing digital engineering systems, data, and asset management, model storage, project platform setup.
  • Concurrent project management, staff utilization, and productivity monitoring.
  • Relevant Australian Standards, Authority CAD standards, Industry drafting guidelines knowledge.
