Strategic Finance Leader for Renewable Energy

A leading renewable energy platform is seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer to drive strategic financial planning and operational excellence across its Australian operations.
The organisation combines agility with global scale, operating with a long-term infrastructure mindset.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading finance functions: financial control, reporting, tax, treasury, audit and compliance
- Overseeing capital strategy, including project financing, debt structuring and equity management
- Managing risk frameworks, forecasting, budgeting and business planning
- Supporting M&A activity and driving value creation across new assets
- Engaging with shareholders and external stakeholders
- Leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of ~20
- Aligning finance and HR-related strategy around organisational growth
Ideal candidate profile:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in senior financial leadership roles, ideally within energy or infrastructure sectors
- Deep knowledge of Australian corporate regulations, IFRS and multi-entity structures
- Proven experience in complex project finance, treasury and capital markets
- Background in Big 4 advisory, audit or transaction services preferred
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including board-level communication
- A proactive, strategic mindset with hands-on leadership style
