This is a senior leadership role within the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure, seeking an experienced Business Case Development Lead to lead the development of business cases and investment proposals for major maritime infrastructure projects across Western Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping strategic investment strategies that support planning and delivery of significant capital works, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and consultants to analyse data, assess market trends, and develop financial and facility operational models that inform business decisions.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker who can turn insights into investment-ready proposals, with strong communication skills across diverse audiences and experience in financial modelling, research and planning.
You will engage with stakeholders across government and industry to ensure proposals align with standards, timelines and strategic priorities, contributing to the safe, sustainable and economically sound development of WA's maritime assets.
- Lead development of business cases and investment proposals for major maritime infrastructure projects.
- Analyse data, assess market trends, and develop financial and facility operational models to inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and consultants to shape strategic investment strategies.
- Engage with stakeholders across government and industry to ensure alignment with standards, timelines and strategic priorities.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in preparing business case submissions to support infrastructure planning and capital works projects, with highly developed research, analytical and evaluation skills and problem-solving capacity.
