Overview

Recruitment Officer, Workforce Management – Department of Transport

We are seeking a strategic thinker to lead the development of business cases and budget submissions for major maritime infrastructure projects across Western Australia. This role will shape investment proposals that support planning and delivery of significant capital works, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and consultants to analyse data, assess market trends, and develop financial and facility operational models that inform strategic decisions.

You will engage with stakeholders across government and industry to ensure proposals align with standards, timelines and strategic priorities, contributing to the safe, sustainable and economically sound development of WA's maritime assets.

There is currently 1 permanent position available for immediate filling.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development of business cases and budget submissions for major maritime infrastructure projects.
  • Analyse data, assess market trends, and develop financial and facility operational models to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and consultants to shape investment proposals.
  • Engage with stakeholders across government and industry to ensure alignment with standards, timelines and strategic priorities.

Selection Criteria (from the JDF):

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare business case submissions to support infrastructure planning and capital works projects.
  • Highly developed research, analytical and evaluation skills with problem-solving capacity.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse and cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
