Senior Insolvency Accountants are sought after by leading accounting firms to drive business growth and success in their growing Business Restructuring and Insolvency division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge, and expertise as a key player in the team.

  • In this role, you will engage with diverse clients and report directly to experienced Partners. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan assignments using the firm's control forms, checklist, and quality control procedures.
  • Investigate insolvent entities' finances by analyzing financial statements and accounting records.
  • Prepare reports for external stakeholders.
  • Handle stakeholder inquiries over the phone and in writing, preparing written responses as required.
  • Run VAs with assistance from managers and appointees.
  • Meet budgets on all types of appointments.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4-5 years' experience in insolvency accounting.
  • Strong investigation skills and successful recovery of voidable transactions.
  • Experience with Australian legislation applicable to insolvency.
  • Solid understanding of the Corporations Act and other relevant Legislation.
  • Bachelor of Business degree or similar.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with high accuracy.
  • Responsible and proactive attitude.
  • Will to monitor/mentor junior staff.
  • Computer literacy: Excel, Word, Outlook, MYOB.
