Previs Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Previs Supervisor to join our team at Industrial Light & Magic. As a key member of our visual effects team, you will be responsible for collaborating closely with directors, VFX supervisors, and other creative leadership to design and deliver sequences that meet their vision.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the production management team to bid and deliver previs on time and on budget across all projects.
- Partner with talent management to mentor, train, and support previs artists on the team, motivating and providing feedback to artists, and understanding how to develop their abilities.
- Build a previs team in Sydney, working with recruitment to help grow the team.
- Develop and maintain a high level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and continually look for and suggest improvements to increase overall efficiency and productivity.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer visualization, or a related field.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in visual effects film.
- 7+ years of experience in visual effects film, including recent management experience.
- Extensive experience in visual effects for film, including animation, previs, and layout.
- Well-versed in film grammar, composition, and editorial decisions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Linux and Maya.
- A reel demonstrating strong creative and technical ability in photo-realistic 3D with a focus on animation, previs, or layout.
