The Role

CPP is in search of a seasoned Senior Primary Electrical Engineer to enhance our extensive and multidisciplinary engineering team across various regions.

This position entails both technical and supervisory duties in developing high-quality designs for primary high-voltage (HV) systems. Responsibilities include supporting Principal Engineers, creating earthing design solutions, conducting arc flash risk assessments, performing conductor and busbar sizing evaluations, and executing short circuit force assessments and electrical field strength evaluations, along with other related primary engineering design tasks.

As part of our in-house Design & Engineering Team, which comprises over 140 highly skilled professionals, you will ensure excellence in primary HV systems and play a crucial role in the success of the flagship projects secured by CPP.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a similar capacity within the HV electrical sector
  • Expertise in substation design and/or utility grid connections
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Australian industry standards
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
