Role Description

This role is responsible for providing evidence-based assessment and treatment to consumers with severe and persistent mental illness.

  • Job Summary:
    • The Mental Health Professional will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver recovery-oriented interventions, support individuals in their recovery journey, and enhance their overall wellbeing.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Assess and develop individualized care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each consumer.
    • Provide psycho-social assessments, develop comprehensive treatment plans, and implement strategies to support recovery and resilience.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, families, and carers to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to care.
    • Participate in quality improvement activities, clinical supervision, and administrative responsibilities as required.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
    • Relevant qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or CSU Graduates: Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health).
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including consumers, families, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
