About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced Signalling Senior Project Engineer to join our team on the Inland Rail Beveridge to Albury Tranche 2 Project. As a key member of our project team, you'll play a crucial role in the successful delivery of the project, ensuring that all signalling systems are designed, installed, and commissioned to the highest standards.
The role will involve working closely with our project teams to ensure that all signalling requirements are met and integrated seamlessly with other project elements. You'll also be responsible for leading the design, procurement, installation, and testing and commissioning of signalling systems for various project sites.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the design, procurement, installation, and testing and commissioning of signalling systems for various project sites.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure that all signalling requirements are met and integrated seamlessly with other project elements.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and contractors.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
- Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
- Monitor project progress, identify any issues or risks, and take appropriate actions to mitigate them.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and relevant authorities to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including designs, specifications, and reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in signalling engineering, within the construction industry.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of signalling systems, including design, installation, and commissioning processes.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to successfully deliver projects within deadlines and budget constraints.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven leadership abilities, with the capability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Sound knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
