About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instructional Coach to join our team at the Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta. As an Instructional Coach, you will play a critical role in leading and learning, through collaboration, instructional leadership, and supporting evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the delivery of the system strategic intent and learning agenda within the local school context.
  • Exercise Catholic leadership and foster the faith formation of students and staff.
  • Lead the implementation of the learning framework, agreed pedagogical practice, and school action plan with a focus on wellbeing and learning skills.
  • Coach teachers and model agreed practice to support students at the point of need using data and research-informed practice in wellbeing and learning.
  • Enable teachers to transfer intervention strategies to the local context.
  • Support teachers in the use of assessment and in developing differentiated and personalised learning opportunities.
  • Analyse and use data to assist other leaders and teachers in understanding student and teacher learning needs.
  • Inform the professional learning and capacity building program of the school.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility across the school.
Requirements
  • Accredited tertiary qualification in education or degree in a specific discipline with a graduate degree in teaching.
  • Experience leading wellbeing and/or learning.
  • Demonstrated success in improving student learning outcomes in literacy and numeracy.
  • Capacity to work with other professionals to improve practice.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Australian resident or citizen.
