Job Summary

The Duty Manager oversees property operations, ensuring exceptional hospitality and service. They resolve guest or property-related situations, represent property management, and manage the flow of questions within the lobby.

Candidate Profile

We seek a highly skilled individual with strong experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related areas. A high school diploma or GED, along with 4 years of experience, or a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major, and 2 years of experience, are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong working relationship with departments to support property operations and goals.
  • Communicate variations to established norms to the appropriate department.
  • Sends copy of MOD report to all departments daily.
  • Strive to improve service performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Emphasize guest satisfaction during departmental meetings and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Review staffing levels for guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives.
  • Review financial statements, sales, and activity reports to measure productivity and goal achievement.
  • Intervene in any guest/associate situation as needed to maintain the integrity of the property, achieve guest satisfaction, and preserve associate well-being.
  • Empower associates to provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide immediate assistance to guests as requested.
  • Serve as a leader in displaying outstanding hospitality skills.
  • Respond to and handle guest problems and complaints.
  • Ensure associates understand customer service expectations and parameters.
  • Interact with customers regularly throughout the property to obtain feedback on quality of product, service levels, and overall satisfaction.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of corrective action plans to improve guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional areas.
  • OR a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major.
  • 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional areas.
