Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Equity Markets Assistant to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our Investment/Financial Advisory team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the efficient operation of our business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equity markets, with experience in stockbroking assistant roles. You will be confident in dealing with clients and colleagues, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Role

In this role, you will assist advisors in developing, preparing, and implementing financial advice and investment proposals. You will also be responsible for servicing and maintaining existing client relationships, providing superior client service, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards.

You will work closely with our team to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to ensure efficient operations. Additionally, you will manage client relationships, communicate effectively, and provide broad administration support to the team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist advisors in developing, preparing, and implementing financial advice and investment proposals;
  • Servicing and maintaining existing client relationships;
  • Providing superior client service that builds strong client relationships;
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards;
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes;
  • Managing client relationships and communicating effectively;
  • Providing broad administration support to the team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years' experience in equity markets, either from operations, Client Services, or similar Desk Assistant / Adviser Assistant / Dealer assistant experience;
  • Degree-qualified within a banking-related discipline;
  • RG 146 (ideally) – if not, willingness to study;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, time-critical environment.
What We Offer
