Digital Preservation Specialist

This position involves overseeing the implementation of our digital strategy, focusing on developing policies and procedures for digitized cultural collections. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying vendors capable of providing trusted digital repositories.
- Policies and Procedures: Develop and maintain guidelines for collecting and preserving digitized cultural collections.
- Vendor Identification: Identify and assess potential vendors that can provide trusted digital repositories to support our digital program.
The ideal candidate will have experience with digital preservation and knowledge of digital asset management systems and cloud-based storage solutions. They should also possess excellent collaboration skills, as they will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the successful development and implementation of the digital program.
Responsibilities:- Developing policies and procedures for collecting and preserving digitized cultural collections.
- Identifying vendors capable of providing trusted digital repositories.
- Experience in digital preservation and trusted digital repositories.
- Knowledge of digital asset management systems and cloud-based storage solutions.
This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of the digital program.
