Leading the Way as Executive Director

The National and State Libraries Australasia is seeking an experienced leader to fill the position of Executive Director. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for implementing strategic plans and overseeing various projects in collaboration with libraries across the region.
This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, high-level strategic thinking, and effective stakeholder management. You will work closely with senior staff from NSLA libraries to achieve consensus on priority initiatives and allocate resources accordingly.
Your primary objective will be to communicate effectively with the library, cultural, government, and research sectors on behalf of NSLA member libraries. This involves developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and promoting the organization's interests.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess demonstrated leadership skills, high-level strategic skills, strong stakeholder management capability, and extensive knowledge of the library sector.
You will report directly to the Chair of NSLA and manage a remote team consisting of four members based in different locations. Ideally, you should be stationed at the NSLA headquarters in Canberra, but your location can vary within Australia.
