Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our network safety strategies for asset management.

This critical role involves developing plans and policies to prevent asset failures, with a strong focus on fire prevention and community safety. You will be responsible for monitoring adherence to relevant regulations, analyzing electrical safety of network assets, and developing mitigation plans and business cases for electrical distribution assets.

  • The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrated experience in technical/engineering roles within utilities, with a strong background in asset management and operational management.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety outcomes is essential.
  • You should have a thorough understanding of asset management leading practices, frameworks, and relevant standards.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and legislation is required.
  • Able to lead and coordinate failure and incident investigations.
  • Knowledge of equipment and technologies with a focus on poles and conductor equipment on the electricity distribution network is necessary.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimize asset performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Key qualifications include:

National Engineering Registration.
